All Aluminium Alloy Conductors (AAAC) are manufactured using aluminium-magnesium-silicon (Al-Mg-Si) alloy, typically AA-6201, and are designed for overhead power distribution. These conductors combine high strength with improved conductivity and corrosion resistance — making them a reliable choice in coastal, polluted, and high-temperature environments. AAACs offer better mechanical performance and electrical efficiency than standard ACSR conductors on a comparable diameter basis.

Construction

Homogeneous conductor made from stranded Al-Mg-Si alloy wires | No steel core — 100% aluminium alloy construction | Smooth surface finish and concentric strand geometry | Enhanced resistance to atmospheric corrosion | Lower weight than ACSR for the same strength class

Applications
Urban power distribution networks
Electrification in coastal and saline regions
Corrosive industrial zones
HV and MV overhead lines with improved thermal rating
Upgrading old ACSR lines to reduce losses and sag
